Girls’ Brigade

Girls’ Brigade is an international, uniformed, interdenominational, Christian organisation for girls from grades 1-12. Girls Brigade is made up of companies run by a Captain with the assistance of leaders. They meet weekly during school terms. The company is made up of 4 units. Cadets grades 1&2, Juniors grades 3-6, Seniors grades 7&8 and Pioneers grades 9-12. The program is made up of four achievements, physical, educational, social & spiritual. This includes: craft, games, camping, cooking, singing, devotions, general life skills & leadership skills. Girls get a badge at the end of each year. Girls may also receive service awards for regular attendance at both Girls' Brigade and church, Sunday school or Bible study. There are lots of other awards they can also earn. Girls have the opportunity to work towards the Pioneer Pin, which is the highest National award, and the Queen's award which is the highest International award.
Girls' Brigade was formed in Ireland in 1893 and commenced in Australia in 1927.
Our Weekly Program
Girls Brigade meets on a Thursday night at Central Church starting at 7pm.
Our Leaders
Our Girls Brigade Captian is Kirsty Williams. She leads a dedicated team of leaders who volunteer their time to work with the girls, guiding their growth and development.
Central Church operates the ChildSafe Risk Management system for all its youth and children activities to ensure we can have fun safely.
