Connect

How can you get connected to life at Central Church? It’s pretty easy. Apart from coming along to a Sunday service, here are some other opportunities:

Homegroups

Our homegroups are the key to connecting. Each week, 8 to 12 people meet in someone’s home to make connections with each other and to grow closer to Jesus. Each group is different, but most involve some food, encouraging one another, talking about faith and the Bible, praying for each other and an opportunity to make social connections with other people just like you.

 Special Interest Groups

Young Adults

Our huge number of young adults loves to hang out together. Sometimes it’s an informal catch up at McDonalds. Other times there is a special event organised. At least once a term we take the opportunity to gather and connect together, usually with food and God at the centre of what we do. Toddler Time (for mums) Mums with little children love Toddler Time. Toddler Time is a playgroup that runs each Tuesday morning during school term in the Auditorium (9 am to 11 am). A great place to connect with other mums and for your children to socialise and play.

Craft Group (for ladies)

Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month our Craft group takes over the Auditorium for a morning of frantic craft activity. All sorts of craft activities from patchwork to beading, painting to quilting – it’s all there. Even if you don’t know the first thing about craft, come and let these experienced ladies show you how.

Evergreens (for over 55s)

We just get better with age! Evergreens is a group of men and women over 55 who meet on the third Wednesday of every month in the auditorium for Christian fellowship, guest speakers, devotional times, picnics and morning teas. There’s even the occasional bus trip.

Men’s and Women’s Events

Throughout the year, Central holds events designed especially for men and especially for women. Often these focus on a topic of interest, food and good company. Check the calendar and the website for upcoming events.

Sudanese Community

Central Church has its own Sudanese community. We aim to support this community with English help, cooking skills, and various community events.
