Rob Falls (Talua Theological Training Centre - Vanuatu)

  • Pray for the 25 final years students at Talua as they complete their final projects and prepare to serve Christ in churches and communities across Vanuatu. Pray that Talua’s recruitment methods are richly blessed after 2026 being a strange and hard year with only a small number of first year students. 

  • Pray for Rob as he teaches and leads, and for El as she teaches at Talua and volunteers at the Northern Provincial Hospital, using her theology, nursing and midwifery experience to serve the local community.

  • Pray for the Falls children, their life and ministry in Vanuatu, and for God's continued grace and encouragement as they serve far from Australia.

  • Give thanks for the many people God has brought alongside Talua through teaching, volunteering, practical help and friendship. Pray that these partnerships would continue to strengthen the church in Vanuatu.

Serve Ministries

  • Praise God for the opportunity for people to serve with people from other communities this past weekend at All In.  Thank you that we could reconnect and focus on serving for God’s Glory.  

  • Praise God for all our faithful members who give so generously.  Especially those behind the scenes who make sure our facilities look nice and the rubbish bins make it to the curb each week.   

  • Praise God for our leaders who step up and make sure things happen each week by scheduling volunteers. 

  • Pray for the serve team as they prepare materials for the Building up Training in October.  Their hope is to encourage and inspire the leaders to grow in Christ and lead as He would.  

Church Elders

  • Give thanks that the elders and staff and family members can get away on our annual retreat next Friday and Saturday. Pray that it is refreshing and unifying. Pray that the message that Pete Thompson from Arundel Presbyterian Church brings us will spur us on.

  • Pray for the ongoing PCQ Receivership. Pray for wisdom for those in leadership to bring the denomination through it and that it would not distract us and other local churches from our mission.

Ipswich AM Community

  • Praise God that Paul Blake’s surgery and recovery is  going  well and he is back at home. Please pray the infection markers continue to decline and he doesn’t relapse. 

  • Give thanks that the tests for Andrew Wright came back benign (to the Dr’s great surprise). We are grateful to God for his care and mercy.   

  • Pray for Susan Thompson - her doctor is trying to get to the bottom of her symptoms and she is undergoing a variety of tests. Pray for peace for her as she waits. 

  • Pray for Geoff Dean, Beris Smith, Tessa Duffy, Kerrie Mansfield, Wayne Thompson, and their ongoing health needs

 

Ipswich PM Community

  • Pray for Ashton Sims who was in a car crash with his grandsons. His Grandsons are ok, but Ashton has been significantly injured. Please pray for strength and healing.

  • Please pray for our family members who do not yet know Jesus as their Lord and saviour.  Pray for us all as we minister to them and seek to bring them closer to Christ. 

  • Please pray for our members who are involved in the up and coming Fun and Adventure Camp.  Pray that their time and efforts will glorify God and bring our high schoolers closer to Christ.  

  • Pray for those in our community with Mental Health struggles. Pray they will look to God as needed and we can be a safe space for them to seek support in their suffering. 

Bellbird Park Community.  


Plainland Community

  • Give thanks for the marriage of Nate & Tahlia, and Paul & Avalon.

  • Continue to pray for God to provide a space suitable for us long term, and give thanks for the partnership with the school even during exams and other issues that can cause challenges.

  • Regarding our serve ministries on Sunday, pray for those who have been serving for a long time and could use a break. Give thanks for everyone who serves, but also pray for God to provide the gifts and people we need for all the good things that happen on Sunday.

General

  • Give thanks for all who served during our All In Service last Sunday and the beautiful community that was on display.

  • Pray that we would each take ‘one small step of faith’ as was the challenge given from 1 Corinthians 3 at the All In service. We each have ways God has given us to serve him and grow His Kingdom.

  • Please pray for Fun and Adventure Camp that’s coming up in the September school holidays. Please pray for the teens as they get excited to come or consider registering for camp, pray that camp would fill up so many can hear and respond to the gospel.
