Weekly Prayer List

VALUE 4 - We’re all on the team (everyone has a place in Jesus’ mission)

Bradleys in Germany:

  • Verena and Jared have a lot on their plates over the next few weeks before they fly to Australia. They are taking a week off next week but after that things will get a bit crazy. Jared is also preaching on 13 September at one of the few Presbyterian churches in Germany. 

  • Pray for accommodation in Brisbane for November and also a place on the Sunshine Coast for December. 

  • Pray that the Lord will provide for all their needs whilst in Australia. They have found out for instance that they will need to pay $1,500 for Verena's return visa. 

  • Pray for their church that they would be able to find a small space where they can have mid-week meetings, store equipment, office space etc as they currently just rent a hall on Sundays. 


NextGen: Creche, KidzCentral, Central Youth, Ignite, Young Adults, Ministry Leaders:

  • Praise God for our Yr 12s as  they begin the process of external exams as the end of school is in sight, pray they can study well and have clarity as they sit numerous exams 

  • Thank the Lord for our Next Gen leaders across our communities, pray that they might be filled and encouraged so they might be able to continue to pour into our young people as they teach and lead

  • Praise God for the blessing of having committed leaders each and every week. Praise God that their faithfulness leads to our children drawing closer to God.  Pray that hearts would be moved to have the older high school children, young adults and other members of Central Church be keen to join the growing teams.  

Chaplains:  

  • Jeanette Teale (WCC Chaplain)

    • Please pray for the children who have engaged in the Bible study session. Pray they grow closer to Christ. 

    • Please pray for the students and teachers as the term is quickly coming to an end. Pray they will glorify God in how they work and learn. 

    • Please pray for Jeanette as she prepares to go on Yr 4 camp in week 9.  Pray that the children who are going away from home for the first time will be supported and enjoy the process.  Pray that conversations will honour Christ and who he is to the children.  

  • Peter Meyer (Faith Christian School of Distance Education)

    • Praise for the Mission trip and Training events, Prayer that the 28 students would continue to grow and develop in the gifts and service for God

    • Prayer for strength and wisdom for the Pastoral Care & Wellbeing team as it has been a busy Term and we still have 3 big events to run.

    • Prayer for families and teachers at Faith Christian School that are facing difficult times: financial, health, relational.

    • Prayer for the Pastoral Care and Wellbeing Team as we support and care for families and teachers in Faith Christian School.


Ipswich AM Community

  • Paul Blake will have heart surgery on Wednesday. Please pray that the procedure and his recovery afterwards go smoothly. 

  • Pray for Geoff Dean, Beris Smith, Tessa Duffy, Kerrie Mansfield, Wayne and Susan Thompson, and their ongoing health needs

  • Give thanks for the safe arrival of Adelaide Dekker - new baby daughter of Jake and Katy and sister to Jethro.

Ipswich PM Community

  • Please pray for our members who are involved in the up and coming Fun and Adventure Camp.  Pray that their time and efforts will glorify God and bring our high schoolers closer to Christ.  

  • Pray for those in our community with Mental Health struggles. Pray they will look to God as needed and we can be a safe space for them to seek support in their suffering. 

Bellbird Park Community.

Plainland Community

  • Please pray for those in our community who are struggling with winter colds and flu symptoms.  Pray especially for Oliver who has been unwell leading up to this weekend.

  • Praise God for the many  new people who have joined us each week. Please pray for our growing community as we wait for a space with more room to be available.  

General

  • Pray for the people of Nepal in the aftermath of the horrendous flash flooding that has killed hundreds of people. Pray for aid workers and Christian Missionaries as they seek to support those who have been affected by this terrible disaster.

  • Give thanks for Queensland Theological College, this year celebrating 150 years of training gospel-centred leaders for a challenging world. Pray for an increase in men and women enrolling for 2027 so that more people are being trained and sent to churches and mission opportunities all over the world.

  • Pray for Luke and Samantha Roan, our Missionary Partners in Central Asia. Devastatingly, Sam has miscarried their unborn twins. This is after she miscarried twins late last year. Pray for Luke and Sam as they navigate through this incredibly difficult time, pray that they will lean on God for all that they need.

  • Please pray for Fun and Adventure Camp that’s coming up in the September school holidays. Please pray for the teens as they get excited to come or consider registering for camp, pray that camp would fill up so many can hear and respond to the gospel.
