Weekly Prayer List
Thursday 26th June 2025
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Col 4.2-3
Let’s pray for…
VALUE 3 - Everyone matters (the gospel is for all people so we will face outwards)
Persecuted Church:
Focus on Nigeria
Protect your people against militant groups like Boko Haram.
Provide for the needs of Christians displaced, discriminated against, and in physical danger.
Comfort and heal victims of violence and trauma, especially women and children. May you be their refuge.
Strengthen your people to faithfully witness, even in the face of death
May those who persecute be won over to Jesus through the witness of those they seek to harm.
For us who enjoy freedoms, may the Lord move us to love, pray for and support our brothers and sisters facing extreme persecution, and may we follow their example in being unashamed of the gospel.
Grow Ministries:
Ask God to grow us in the one anothers of the bible - be devoted to one another in love, honor one another above ourselves, love one another, stop passing judgment on one another, accept one another, be filled with knowledge and competent to instruct one another, agree with one another, encourage one another, serve one another, humbly and gently bearing with one another in love, be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, submitting to one another, teaching and admonishing one another, spurring one another on to love and good deeds, offering hospitality to one another, be clothed with humility towards one another.
Committee of Management:
Pray for the Committee as they work through helping Central Valley Church set up their own Committee of Management - part of the process of CVC becoming an independent church.
Pray for the Committee as they seek to be good stewards of the money that God’s people have donated to the Church. As there seems to be an ever increasing number of large maintenance jobs and repairs to complete, we pray that wise decisions are made when there may be limited funds available.
