NextGen Ministries:

  • Praise God for the kids and youth at Central Church. Praise God that they see Central Church as their home, and a space where they can grow and learn more about following Jesus. 

  • Pray for NextGen as the ministries kick off for the new term. Pray for the transitions of Grade 6 into Youth this term as they begin their Youth Journey on a Friday night. 

  • Pray for the parents of our NextGen that they may continue to walk the path of discipleship even when things are busy or hard. 

Ramsays in Japan:

  • Praise God for encouragement of a Queensland high school mission team. 

  • Praise God for lots of opportunities to connect with the community in Oyumino

  • Pray for the Mark Drama this weekend to be well attended and for good follow up conversations. 

  • Pray for the success of other community outreach events planned for October and November


Chaplaincy:

  • Thomas McPherson (BBC School Chaplain)

    • BBC is experiencing a bunch of health issues in the Christian education department. Already prayed for but no miracles have happened yet 😀. Pray that doctors would have answers and pray for strength during this time. 

    • We're in the handover period between old and new year 12 ISCF leaders - pray that the new leaders would settle into their roles and manage their time well. They're going to be good but the last group of leaders was fantastic so a hard act to follow. 

    • Pray for the upcoming ISCF social - that kids would have fun, feel like they belong, and have good conversations which encourage faith.

  • Suzanne Paddock (Ipswich Special School & Ipswich Central School Chaplain)

    • Praise God for a wonderful holiday of rest and renewed energy  for Term 4. 

    • Please pray for some families dealing with big hardships of illness and financial concerns.  Please pray for the students to feel supported at school.

Ipswich AM Community

  • Pray for Tayla Powell whose mum (Trudy) has passed away.  Pray for Tayla at this difficult time, that she will continue to lean on God for all her needs as she supports her father. Tayla’s maternal grandmother also passed away this week.

  • Praise God that Sally Francis’s surgery was a success on Monday. Pray that she will continue to rest and recover from the surgery back at home.

  • Pray for Susan Thompson - her doctor is trying to get to the bottom of her symptoms and she is undergoing a variety of tests. Pray for peace for her as she waits. 

  • Pray for Geoff Dean, Beris Smith, Tessa Duffy, Wayne Thompson, Paul Blake, and their ongoing health needs

 

Ipswich PM Community

  • Pray for Ashton Smith who is now home from hospital recovering after his car accident.   Please pray for pain control and healing. 

Bellbird Park Community.  

  • Give thanks that Jason Budden’s surgery on his arm went well this week.

Plainland Community

  • Continue to pray for the Kent family as they grieve.

  • Begin to pray for the upcoming evangelistic series Why I Follow Jesus, that God would be bringing opportunities for us all to be inviting friends and family who don’t know Jesus to come and hear the gospel.

General

  • Pray for Pastor Jay Beatty and his wife and family at Chuwar Baptist whose son died in a road accident last weekend.
