Weekly Prayer List

Thursday 6th August 2026

Connect

  • We pray for the power of Jesus’ message and the beauty of Jesus’ community to transform lives across this region.

  • We recognise that this prayer has to start with us. As people trusting Jesus, help us to become increasingly like Jesus. May we become more Christlike so that we shine distinctively before those around us. May the winsomeness of our lives, the love in our actions and the beauty of our church communities draw others to Jesus.

    CRI - Christian Religious Instruction

  • Praise God for our CRI instructors who faithfully teach students about Jesus every week in the region. Pray that the good news of Jesus being sown in many young hearts would bear the fruit of faith in God’s time. Pray for opportunity to meet with the staff at Bellbird Park State School to plan for the start of CRI next year. We ask that those discussions would be warm, positive and collaborative.

Ipswich Assist: reStore, Emergency Relief, reStore Church

  • Praise God for the communities that we have with our lunch and restore church and shop that people feel comfortable and welcomed and are willing to hear about Jesus

  • Pray for each person that we talk to each day that they would see the God who loves them through something that we do or say, and that the Spirit would use those interactions for his glory

  • Praise God for the generosity of our community to be able to purchase one of the mowers we needed and we’ll be able to pick that up this week

Roans working as Missionaries in Asia

  • Pray for Sam as she and Luke found out that they are expecting twins. Pray for peace and safety during this time, as Sam suffered a miscarriage late last year. Pray that Luke and Sam would continue to put their trust in the God who holds us all in His hands.

  • Wisdom for Luke dealing with his friend Habib. A complex friendship. Pray for further opportunities to share the gospel.

  • Upcoming language evaluation for Luke.

  • The team heading south as they continue to discuss their theological/doctrinal standings.

Ipswich AM Community

  • Pray for Tessa Duffy, whose rehab from knee surgery is not progressing as quickly as the doctors would like.

  • Pray for Wayne Thompson, who is having knee surgery on Friday. Pray that the operation would be a success, and pray for Susan as she cares for him.

  • Continue to pray for Geoff Dean who is having rehab in hospital after his fall and surgery for his broken hip. Also pray for Loraine as she continues to care for Geoff.

  • Pray for Kerrie Mansfield, who has fractured her Patella and is recovering from surgery.

  • Pray for the Pollard family (especially Annie Rudalski) as they grieve the loss of David this week. David was a long term part of Central Church and former elder, most recently attending at CVC. We give thanks for his life of faithfulness to Jesus.

Ipswich PM Community

  • Pray for David A who has gone into hospital.  Pray he will find healing and draw closer to God in this time.

  • Pray for those in our community with Mental Health struggles. Pray they will look to God as needed and we can be a safe space for them to seek support in their suffering.

Bellbird Park Community.

  • Praise for a God-honouring funeral that both celebrated Jenny’s life and proclaimed the hope we have in Christ. Pray for Jo den Otter’s family, especially for Jo’s dad Neil as they continue to process their grief.

  • Pray for James as he travels to Vanuatu this week to do some training at the Talua Bible College. Pray that his time with Rob and El Falls and their family will be encouraging to them and to him.

Plainland Community

  • Continue to pray that God would provide the material and spiritual resources we need to be healthy and faithful as a local church congregation. In particular continue to pray in faithful dependance on God that he would provide a place for us to meet that serves our gathered worship and ministry. Pray also that God would raise up new elders from our Plainland congregation.

Continue to pray for our current round of onboarding lunches, and that God would use them to grow us together as a church family, unified around the singular gospel and mission of the Lord Jesus.

General

  • Please Pray for the Somali Christian community in Australia as it grows and seeks to encourage others. Many of the members are from a Muslim background. Help them lean on each other as they seek Christ.
