Weekly Prayer List

Thursday 11th September 2025

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Col 4.2-3

VALUE 4 - We’re all on the team (everyone has a place in Jesus’ mission)


NextGen: Creche, KidzCentral, Central Youth, Young Adults, Ministry Leaders

  • Pray for the preparation that goes into Fun and Adventure. Pray for soft hearts ready to hear the gospel. 

  • Praise God for the term we have spent covering the Nicene Creed with our youngest disciples. 

  • Pray for plans for NextGen for 2026 that more kids would come to know and love Jesus. 

Bradleys in Germany:

  • Pray that the Lord would provide us with suitable housing in Tübingen and open doors when I begin with the BERG church. 

  • Pray for Jared's health, he has had continual digestive problems over the last years. 

  • Pray for us as a family that we would stay close and faithful to Jesus as Satan loves to destroy workers. 

Chaplains: 

  • Suzanne Paddock (Ipswich Special School Chaplain) -

    • Praise God for the 27 Chaplains in the Ipswich Somerset Region who serve 14,582 children.

    • Pray that more Chaplains will be raised up to fill the vacancy in our area. 

    • Please pray for a girl whose cousin passed away from cancer. Pray for the family as they grieve.  

  • Peter Meyer (Faith Christian School of Distance Education)

    • Praise Points

      • For the opportunity to speak the truth of Jesus Christ and his word with Families and students within the school and to pray with them.

      • For the importance the school puts on living out your Christian faith as a staff member.

    • Prayer Points

      • Strength for the Pastoral Care & Wellbeing Team as we care for many families in the school who are facing Physical Health concerns, Mental Health concerns, the death of a loved one.

      • Prayer for wisdom and understanding as I listen to students and support them in the midst of what they are facing

      • That the school would see growth in the attendance at our Student, Family & Staff Prayer Meetings (Currently 3 prayer meetings), Student Bible Studies (Currently 4 Bible Studies) and Faith Talks (Chapel Service on Friday mornings)


Specific community prayer points

Ipswich AM Community:

  • Pray for Maree Lowe as she and her family prepare for her dad’s (Ken) funeral on Monday,  Pray for Maree, her mum Lesley and her family as they grieve and celebrate Ken’s life.  Give thanks for his strong faith, their sure hope and that he is not in pain any more.  

  • Pray for Puot Top who is travelling to see family in Nairobi for approximately 2 months (flew out Thursday 4 Sep). Pray for safety on the journey, particularly knowing that there remains some political volatility in South Sudan. Pray that this will be a rich time with family who Puot has not seen for many years. Pray for good health and also for Rebecca who is remaining home to look after the family needs here. 

  • Pray for Wayne Thompson who undergoes knee surgery on 16 September 

  • Pray for Val Kearton as she settles into life in her new nursing home. Pray that she would continue to remain strong in her faith and seek joy in the Lord always.


Ipswich PM Community:

  • Please pray for Donna van Bekkum who has just learned she will need to have spinal surgery.  She has been told it is urgent and is waiting for a date. Praise God she is at peace about the surgery and pray a date is set quickly. 

  • Please continue to pray for the members of our church dealing with long term health issues in particular cancer and mental health concerns. 

Bellbird Park  Community:  

  • For guidance for Josh as he looks for a new job and a fresh challenge.   

  • Thank God that Darlene’s brother, Bill has now been able to return home from hospital. Pray that the Lord would be gracious to him, and draw him to himself. Give Darlene wisdom and strength to discern how best to continue supporting  and loving Bill. 

  • Pray for recovery of health for those in our church community who have been suffering with sickness of late - particularly for Kaitlin, Rhoads and Ted and others known to us. 

Plainland Community:

  • Continue to pray for the Faith Course. Pray that God would give us a greater sense of all our need for the gospel as we considered again the cross of Christ last Sunday.

  • Pray for the sick and suffering among us. Many people have been sick this winter, but pray especially for Col, for Rob & Narelle and for Megan with ongoing health battles.


Other (including World Issues):

  • Give thanks for the launch of Vine Church last Sunday. Praise God for a big congregation for the first day and pray especially for Tom and the team as they follow up those who expressed interest in joining the church family.
